Pantheon
This magnificent structure was originally built in 27BC by Augustus´ general son in law, Marcus Agrippa. In the sixth century, Pope Boniface IV transformed this temple into a Christian Church.
The Spanish Steps
Walk along Via Condotto to get the best view of the popular meeting place for both locals and visitors and check out the designer shops while you are there! The beautiful Borgehese gardens are at the top of the Spanish Steps. Be sure to bring cold drinks and snacks as the little shop stands are very expensive!
The Trevi Fountain
This baroque masterpiece is Rome´s most famous fountains and was immortalised in the film ´La Dolce Vita´.
Colosseum
This largest surviving ancient structure was built between AD72-80. This great amphitheatre was the venue for the most spectacular and barbarous gladiatorial games. The ticket office is quite busy. To avoid the long queues, buy your ticket for the Colosseum online. A guided tour is recommended.
The Vatican City
This ancient and most holy site is a must for travellers.
Piazza Navona - The perfect place to relax
It is highly recommended that this is the place you come to for a spot of relaxation. Buy a coffee or ice cream from a café table and watch the street performers and artists at their work.
